After the ice age came the Agricultural Revolution and something I found surprising is the new technology that was created during this period. Although new technology was discovered the gatherer-hunters techniques were used for a time after. When the new technology was discovered the paleolithic era soon became the neolithic era. The new technology was created because of the lack of many large animals which caused for the gatherer-hunters to slowly "die off'. Larger animals started to go extinct because after the ice age there was global warming which created many different climates that some animals could not survive in, but homo sapiens could. Selective breeding was considered "technology" because it benefitted all people around the globe. Farmers were able to create more from less meaning they were able to figure out how have less sheep, but make more wool then having more sheep and barely matching how much wool they could make with less of the selective bred sheep. Farmers were also able to use selective breeding on plants creating more things such as corn or wheat, etc. At first selective breeding process could only support large communities, but as larger communities decided to settle selective breeding became their only source that would help them survive. Another issue had come to light when farmers and other people from the communities began to become sick with diseases. This was because the diseases that the animals carried. Through these diseases many people died, but many got through it and were able to help modify the selective breeding process. The process of selective breeding is still used today, but since years went on homo sapiens were able to identify and stop the terrors that came with it. I think its really interesting that one thing can be created so long ago and still be developing in the world today.
In Ways of the World it explains that everything as we know it isn't actually anything because it is only a tenth of what is really out there. Everything as we may know it can mean so much to people, but if you step back and look at the facts and history of our world you will realize that everything really means nothing. What we know already is what we have been discovering since humans first began to roam the earth, but it still isn't everything. The three C's describes why world history means so much to all of us change, comparison and connection. Slowly overtime as we gained information about the events that happened on earth we began to grow and develop. Making it easier to pass through different eras and in each era creating something new for the next. Every new invention came with a new issue as time went on showing more of the inequality between us humans (inequality). Although inequality is shown it begins to start connecting people with each other. The three C'...
